Treatment Philosophy
Our goal is to help bring your overall body back to health. While helping with decreasing your symptoms, our treatments focus on the overall functioning of your health.
Only when your overall health is optimal can one be free of symptoms.
For example, imagine yourself in a cloud of smoke. You are going to have difficulty breathing in until the smoke is clear. You could temporarily relieve the problem by wearing an oxygen mask. Or you could treat the cause of the problem and clear the smoke!
Using this analogy, we can speak of any disorder.
Think of how the lungs were affected by the environment (smoke). Now think of your muscles, ligaments, tendons, glands and other tissues and how they are affected by your body’s internal and external environment.
Like the lungs in the smoke cloud, the tissues in your body can only heal if your body is providing a healthy environment for them. Until this environment improves, the symptoms will continue.
Prescriptions, chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, and other methods of treatment are beneficial but they do not treat the underlying cause of the symptoms. This is where we excel and fit into your overall healthcare approach.
Our aim is to treat your whole body rather than only focusing on the symptoms. Over a series of treatments we will decrease your symptoms and work to correct the underlying troubles of your body. We do this through acupuncture, supplementation, food allergy testing, and nutritional advice.
